Source -> Cable Type -> Receiver
Xbox 360 -> Component -> Component In
Xbox 360 -> Optical Fiber -> (TV/Sat) Digital In

Comcast -> Component -> Component In
Comcast -> Coax RCA -> Coax Digital In
(I hope your Comcast box has a Coax connection, otherwise you are stuck with buying a new receiver with 2 optical ins or stick with stereo)

Receiver -> Cable -> TV
Component Out -> Component -> Component In

Voila, you are done! You should not need to use your TV's speakers, since you are using your surround sound system. If you want to use your TV speakers, you can always go audio out from receiver to your TV.
