that is one of my ALL TIME pet peeves. When someone doesn't like something or the sound of something they should shut the f up.I don't care who's making it...show some respect. (wow did you hit a nerve). Maybe I feel that way cuz most of us cook with "love" or because we love to do it..whatever...I certainly wouldn't look at someones painting & say "Wow, that's crap"
yeah, its rude (sEtTLE dOwNnnn)

When I was younger my mom used to pack my lunch with homemade Chinese food. Kids who didn't know anything besides hamburgers and pb&j sandwiches would say, "EWW!! That looks gross!!" Well, at least my mom took the time to pack my lunch, unlike their mom who stuffed a twinkie in their backpack on the way to school. It was extremely rude for that person to say that to you. Food preference is subjective and just because someone doesn't like it doesn't mean it's disgusting. You should tell that person that their face is disgusting. By the way, I love banana muffins. =)

Personally, I find picky eaters to be very annoying (in general). For some reason, a lot of them like to make a scene anytime anyone eats or makes one of the many foods that they have deemed "unworthy."
You'll be sitting there eating your banana muffins, soup, or whatever, and they will stare at you, constantly making gagging noises and pretending to throw up. Grow up, people!

if they said it without trying them, no. they don't think it's your cooking, they just don't like the sound of banana muffins. but, if someone tried my stuff and said that, then i would be very offended. i pride myself on my cooking.

I think that the person who said that is boorish and rude. Nobody asked for their opinion, and as a general rule if one doesn't have anything nice to say they should keep their trap shut.

No, it's just personal preference. I wouldn't be insulted at all. I personally, can't stand bananas at all. Even the smell makes me nauseous.

YES! Especially if you were making them for that person... and even if you weren't! You could expect something like that from a little kid, but not a grown person!
