i love buying my girlfriend expensive looking things. like i got her a coach purse from http://www.doiop.com/purse which is sorta cheating because i didn't have to totally pay for it but she did like it so it works out.

They will feel being used because it sounds as if they are. If he gives an expensive present is way different that asking for an expensive present. It really isn't about the money and presents.

I would feel ashamed. A relastion ship has nothing to do with money. Dont ask for expensive gifts. And try not to get them. The more you give her/him the more they will want more. Just dont. It is ok, but there is a limit

It is all according if she has earned it. If we have had sex at least 1 time a night for a month then she gets a nice big box of chocs. Otherwise she has to make do with my wonderful company. And if she doesn't like that, tough.

no one should be asking for expensive presents....if a girl continues to ask for expensive presents, he should run in the opposite direction...

It depends. How long have you been in the relasionship? If it is a long term thing I guess its ok to ask. Just remember to if he comes thru to repay him someday!
