A weak solution of bleach and washing up liquid left on it for a few hours will clean and wont damage it. But do not scrubb it , if its ceramic you will take the finish off and it will get dirtier quicker likewise with plastic coating.

Use bleach but not full strength unless badly stained - you can help the bleach to work by using either a dish washing brush or a toothbrush. Avoid using an abrasive cleaner if you can as the small scratches left behind will mean that bacteria can develop within them and may mean you have to clean more often!

Fill the sink with water and add a cup of bleach, leave for an hour.
I also use Soft Scrub with bleach and let it sit for about 5 minutes.

Bleach is a bad solution that you should not use. You should better soak the sink with liquid and clean it after an hour.

Bleach is fine like everyone says. For the tough stains add a little baking soda mixed with dish-washing liquid (poor man's soft scrub). Happy New Years, yeah.

I clean my sinks and tubs with bleach, a little dish detergent and water. That way, my bathroom will smell clean, and will kill germs that builds up in the bathroom.

I use comet and it works great. Get the sink wet then sprinkle comet and let it sit for 15 minutes. Use a scrubber or sponge then rinse. This method works well on stains and scuff marks.

If you are feeling really lazy, fill the sink with hot water and put a biological washing tablet (or powder) in and leave to soak for a while, depending on how dirty it is.

Clorox Clean-Up works great, in just a few seconds. No scrubbing is usually required. (Main ingredient is bleach, I'm sure)

Ajax, Comet if it is a porcelain enamel sink, they work well, find a thing called a "dobie" pad. it is a rectangular plastic surface with a sponge inside, mildly abrasive, it will work well with the above cleaners.
