Why is gymnastics such a turn-on for guys??

They are small women in tights and very limber. They are thinking "man she knows how to bend".

Physical prowess is always a turn-on. Besides, those guys who like gymnasts (or tennis players..mm..) are well aware that physical activity = endorphins.
And endorphins = good mood. And good mood = higher chance of sex.
Duh.
Yeah, we're that shallow, sometimes. Or, at least, some are. Sorry.
Personally, I like women who fence, or who do martial arts. Similar reason, but also just because, hey, it's pretty darn nice to watch a woman move confidently and with prowess and skill. There's just something....hot. About it.
Could be genetics, I suppose - good physical strength and dexterity/agility equates to a strong mother, etc etc.

I can't speak for all guys, but I think it's impressive when a girl is a good gymnast. It shows that she physically can do things that I can't.
Perhaps the same reason why girls like physically strong men?

in tight fitting outfits, revealing every curve, getting themselves into all kinds of positions while rolling around on a mat sweating...

Toned, fit girls with flexible bodies in tight spandex clothes. Not too tough to figure out why that would excite a typical guy's senses.
