for the first year iof kitty's life, kitty will bwe a food recycling plant.
kittens eat 3-5 of the 3 ounce cans of food each day--plus snacking.
for my growing kitty i keep dry food of good vet recommended quality in an auto feeder for snacking and i feed him 3 cans of wet food every day. the wet food comes in 3 ounce cans.
keep plenty of water next to his food. i also keep wheatgrass next to the dish so he can hae his needed greens--helps kitty deal with hairballs and is cheaper than petromalt.
has your kitten been to vet for his kitten check-up?? and shots??
when kitty goes in for his kitty check up, take a stool samle so you can know he is free of parasites kitties come with naturally.
feed him lots, take kitty for regular checkups, and get kitty "fixed"
before spraying or first heat--around 6 months of age.
have fun with kitty, and hae a good new year.

Of course it is normal. Kittens need to eat a lot the first 4 months of growing up.

kittens have little stomachs so they will eat a bunch of smaller meals more often, they grow at sucha fast rate... but have a stool sample test done at the vet just-in-case, a lot of times you won't see the worms, but the vet can find worm eggs in the poop. most likely your kitty's ok, but a preventative trip to the vet is always good.

When I brought my twins home (kittens) they gave me the following advice. Small bowl in the morning and a small bowl of food in the evening. They need to be on a feeding pattern. Mine now go to the cupboard door where their food is and knock on it when I am in the kitchen letting me know it is food time. It also helps maintain a healthy weight. I was once a feed'em all day believer but my vet broke me off that with my dogs.

It may be worms you should check the vet. Try giving her a small amount to eat at certain times. Don't refill the bowl when she is done, give it time. I feed my kits twice a day, with plenty of water not milk.

Sure it's normal. Cats are like people some like food more than others. My Mia is always ready for a food treat. i say she is in search of food! LOL.Your sweet little baby may just like food and sense he is young and active he needs food.

Kittens do eat a lot but it could be worms. Take a fecal sample to your vet to be sure.

I can't give you any medical know how, but I can say that many animals will eat and eat, that is why somtimes it is good for them to have a meal time as well. Not always. but sometimes this helps their diet.
Consult others on this matter though.
Rambo.
Hope you and your cat have a long and healthy life.

give her small portions rather than large ones. remember to change her litter box at due time. she just likes her litter box. and that's not bad because litter boxes help cats stay clean and flea-free.
