I do it unconsciously and it is hurting and causing jaw troubles and headaches...

You can go to the dentist and he can make you a mouth piece or they now have the ones you can buy in the store. Make sure you get the right kind the sport one is not the best one. They have one especially made for this problem.

Reduce the stress in your life. But since you can never really reduce all the stress, your best bet is to get a mouth guard. You will still grind your teeth, but you won't have the tooth on tooth contact, which will reduce the pain you are suffering from. You should be able to get a inexpensive mouth guard at your local drug store. Or, if you want to spend the money on it, your dentist can custom mold one to your teeth.

This is actually something pretty serious. You can develop several problems with doing this- go to your dentist and they can fit you for a a device that keeps you from doing this. I've also see things at like Walmart and Walgreens, so you could check there too.
My husband used to do this and would wake up with bad headaches. You can grind your teeth down too.

Get a mouth guard from the store they have different sizes or your dentist can do it for $100-$200 dollars

your dentist can get you a mouth guard to better fit your teeth than what they sell in the stores. call and ask your dentist.

Wear teeth guard, they sale them for this reason, I believe I do it too...

mouth guards can be bought at any drug store. you pop it in hot water and it melds to your mouth shape

pick up a mouthguard from walgreens or sports authority. they are pretty comfortable
