Yep, definately Hong Kong! Partly I guess because I'm a Hong Konger myself, so I'm a little bias here. But then Hong Kong has the titles Shopping paradise and Food paradise. I should say that Beijing and Shanghai are okay places too. But I can't really provide you with sufficent info though I've been to both places. But as for Hong Kong:
Ladies Market (Mong Kok): Go to Mong Kok station (MTR) and take exit D3, once you get out of the station, turn back and walk the other way, then turn right at the first corner and walk straight ahead, you'll see it soon, it's not even 5 minutes away! You'll see all sorts or stalls there. Be sure to try to bargain, don't be embarrased to!
Festival Walk (Kowloon Tong): Take the MTR to Kowloon Tong, remember Kowloon Tong and not Kowloon Bay! Then you'll see signs telling you where it is and which exit to take because the shopping mall is connected to the MTR station.
The Stanely Market is also a wonderful place. It's in the Hong Kong Island area, I think it was getting off at Admiralty station (MTR) and taking a bus there.
Tsim Sha Tsui and Mong Kok are also wonderful places to shop, the Mong Kong KCR station is also connected to the Century Plaza which is yet another great shopping mall in my opinion. There's a great food court on the 5th Floor too.
Nathan road is extremely long, I think I read it somewhere that it was longer than 10km or something, you wouldn't want to walk the whole street, but it has wonderful shops.
Lan Kwai Fong is also a place to be I've heard. I've never been there, (too young!) but there are lots or bars and many people go there at night. It's not exactly shopping, but you can meet a lot of people there.
There's still a ton of information, but I can't write it all here. Check out this site! It's the Hong Kong Tourism Board!

Definetly Hong Kong, but if you find yourself somewhere else, don't be afraid to check out the little back alley markets. Also, don't forget to bargain like mad!! I don't know about Hong Kong, but in Beijing, they try to sell stuff to foreigners at 10x the actual price. You would be surprised at how cheap things can get. You might have to gargain for 20 minutes to get the good price....someplaces.

Well, I think GuangZhou has world class shopping! It's beginning to get a reputation with shoppers, and is up there with London and Paris!
