To be honest with you, it will be cheaper to buy a new flatscreen tv than fixing the one you have, I'm not sure if there is a way to change the screen but if it is im sure it will be very very expensive.

Well, you can't. A crt is a vacume tube and so would require the whole tube to be replaced. LCD TVs have the esential components for display built into the screen itself. Ditto for plasma sets. It is far cheaper just to go out and buy a new TV.

What type of flat panel TV are you referring to Plasma or LCD?
