Please do not listen to these ignorant people. They don't even understand the concept you are asking about. I have achieved this state only twice in my life - its very hard for a westerner to do. When it happened, I was not actually aware of it; just suddenly the world and everything in it became unbearably beautiful. Keep working at it, your whole perspective will change.

i'm no neurologist, but if it is without any movement, do you mean not thinking? and if it is aware of its stillness, it KNOWS that it is still--which is a thought. so it cannot think while not thinking.

Meditation is a practice...and practice makes perfect. Give it a try, within a few months you should be able to experience what you are describing.
