I am a 16 year old 5'7" 125 lb female, wanting to tone up. I run 2ish miles every other day, and usually do a couple situps and pushups. Does anyone have any good websites with some easy exercises to tone up (especially thighs, abs and arms) Also what kind of diet? I eat rather healthily in the first place and I am a vegetarian, but for the new year, I want to be sexy and toned, especially for my boyfriend :)

These websites offer excellent virtual exercise demos for toning up your butt, stomach, legs, arms, shoulders, and so on:

As for diet questions, maybe these sites can help:

I am also a vegetarian and while I don't follow a very strict diet, it is VERY important for vegetarians to get enough protein (especially since you exercise) through lean sources like tofu, whole grains, eggs/egg whites, & dairy (if you're not vegan). Shoot for 50 grams protein daily at the VERY least. If you're having trouble getting enough protein, try a protein supplement after working out. I use Zero Carb Isopure - http://www.naturesbest.com/index.html?section=Shopping&id=3004&catSec=351&pid=17382&-session=thisSession:C3AEDF05EEC49C72B64B4567B8FDBD95 - which already gives you the 50 g. that you need. High protein consumption actually acts as an appetite suppresant so people on high protein diets actually end up consuming fewer calories throughout the day than others. I can tell you that it works from personal experience b/c after I have that Isopure shake after working out I don't get hungry for a couple of hours. Getting enough protein is very important if you start doing the strength training exercises to tone up, like weights, b/c your body needs to feed and replenish its muscles.

Other suggestions are to include plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, "healthy" fats (raw nuts & seeds, olive oil, flax seed oil, avocados), and avoid anything with "hydrogenated oil" in the ingredients b/c that equals trans fat. Learn to read nutrition labels and educate yourself by exploring books/internet and you should be great.

I used to do the Denise Austin daily workout. It come's on tv here around 7:30 am. I started feeling better and could notice a difference in my apperance within a month. I am 5'6", 102lbs... So, I wasnt doing it for weight loss. I was trying to achieve more tone also. She has some videos out too that target specific areas. I know alot of people say she gets on their nerves... but I did see some improvement. Good luck
