i eat more also,,, maybe its because we are indoors more, plus our fall/winter holidays are centered around food/family meals,,,,,, then there is the biology of it all, in winter your body works harder to keep yourself warm,, the more fat you have on your body insulates you,,,,,, so its normal to want heavier foods,,,,, maybe its just our instinct,,, leftover from the days when we didnt live/stay in such environment controlled settings/homes

You eat like a pig in the winter because there's nothing esle to do. In the summer, you usually be outside play ball or doing something fun, but now that it's winter it to cold to be outside so the only thing you think about doing is eating.

Its normal to be super hungry during winter... Cos yr body temperature is low... and you just need the food to act as fuel to increase the body temp.... thats why u tend to eat like a pig in cold season... Thats happened to me too... :D

Could be seasonal depression.
Seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, also known as winter depression is an affective, or mood, disorder. Most SAD sufferers experience normal mental health throughout most of the year, but experience depressive symptoms in the winter or summer. SAD is rare, if existent at all, in the tropics, but is measurably present at latitudes north of 30°N, or south of 30°S.

Personally, I don't feel much like eating when it's hot. I don't eat alot, but I do eat more in the winter months, and it's usually sugar. I think it's a 'not enough sunlight' depression sort of thing.

Yep, feeling it too.. the weather is nasty, there isn't much to do, so eating is a fun alternative.. plus all the good treats that come with the holidays, plus our body needs more food to keep itself warm
