The US Navy Seals are well trained but no where the standards of the SAS and you can ask any Seal who has trained with the SAS and they will tell you that the SAS are better. The SAS are trained to do what the Seals aren't trained to do which obviously proves the SAS are better, the SBS are just as good as the SAS and no one can say the US Ranger's are better because the SBS saved a company of about 120 US Rangers in the first Gulf war in Afghanistan. The Americans can believe what ever they want and the reason that the Americans believe that their armed forces are better is because they haven't joined the military and served with the Brits.

4 SAS soldiers could beat 40 Navy Seals. Thats how much better the SAS are. Special forces means having a very small number of men capable of disrupting enemy infastructure and movements as well as there defences therefore the SAS would attack without even being noticed and the Navy Seals would be beaten before they made a plan.Of course this battle is not likely to take place as the SAS would be more interested in silently destroying your regular army and the chances of this happening is very low as the British and USA goverments are mates.
To the person who hasnt heard of the SAS that should prove who is better as they do stuff thats so good and well excecuted that no body even knew it was them. The Navy Seals would probably ring up the enemy and let them know they were coming as well as a film director so that it can be made into a movie where it shows how good they are even though they lost the battle and/or the war.
The SAS are the best special forces in the world and thats the end of it.

I was told by a military expert that the SAS & Seals had performed several joint training exercises & courses. Both are elite forces, but the SAS / SBS are considered the best Special Forces in the world.
The SAS were shown to have a longer & tougher selection process. They're better trained in counter terrorism tactics such as hostage rescue, surprise assaults etc. They're also the experts in urban warfare tactics and survival in extreme environments (i.e. the jungle, high altitudes like mountain regions, sub-zero artic regions etc.)
But your question is very ambiguous...

The British S.A.S.and the U.S navy seals are both highly trained units .I do not think we should ask ,who can beat
each other in a fight .We should only hope that all manoeuvres that they are involved in are always successful, that they can if needed to work for both Nations for the good of both.

Not a fight worth thinking about.
I say those two are on our side and love to see them go out and do what they do best. Kill the bad guys.
Reminds me of the Army Navy game.
They may pick on each other but when it comes down to bussiness they work best when they work together.

Two different types of units. you are comparing apples to oranges here. They are manned differently, and have quite different TTP's. They do cross train, as part of the Special Operations community, and even include each other in their missions. If you want to really compare, then it would have to be with CAG and the SAS. But CAG does have huge advantages over the SAS as a whole. Much touger to get into CAG than the SAS as well..

US Navy Seals, I thought they were connected to the Sea Scouts in the U.S. & I am sure that our Boys' Brigade would beat them.

Since the SAS are sworn to the utmost secrecy, we would never actually find out the result, let alone where they fought and with what weapons!
