I noticed that the other night............I think its just a mess up somewhere

It looks OK to me. There are 2 US flags (one in spanish) and South Korea has no flag.
But certainly the UK flag is there and correct, and it does not seem that we have become a US state!

I think there used to be a Union Jack there, but hey, I could not believe my eyes when I looked. The politicians will be so thrilled to realise they have actually made Britain part of the United States after all their efforts. I feel I should say something appropriate, erm, Have a nice day now!

Interesting.
But way back in the 1980s, Margaret Thatcher singed an agreement with the Ronal Reagan that allowed to USA to annex such areas of Britain as were considered necessary in the event of a major war.
Perhaps Bush has exercised this option? It would be just like Tony Blair not to mention it.

the UK flag isn't there - so it can't be wrong.
If you point the cursor to the flag to the right of the words United Kingdom you will see that you are in fact pointing to the US.
I suggest the reason is an oversight on the poeple who designed and keep this site going. and because the country' name is at the start of a line.
Italy's flag is also missing.
