You are burning some calories, but you aren't getting the full cardio fat burning effect. You need to go at least 20 min in order for the body to really get going to the fat stores for energy instead of the glycogen in your cells (if that is your goal)

If I remember right... at 20 min, its a 50/50 split. The longer you maintain the cardio, the greater the draw is from the fat stores, getting up to 20 (glycogen)/ 80 (fat) once you get up to the 45 min-1 hr .

Basic cardio is 20-30 min, 3 times a week.

It is better than nothing. But you could add a feww minutes per week to get you up to 30 minutes.
