ive had it for about 4 months now, never really got round to seeing a doctor, but my ear sometimes feels as if its just letting air pass through it? when i yawnfor example my left ear just gets a swooshing airy sound through it that blocks out other sounds for a small while until i close it again. this is getting to be quite a pain now and so i thought i would be best to ask for some views on what it might be.

Also about half a year ago i had an ear infection in that ear as well. any help will be much appreciated.

The most likely cause is either a busted ear drum or the inner "sands" in you ear to not aligned correctly. I have a busted ear drum and I have the same symptoms, And if my ear does heal by Jan 8Th I have to have corrective ear surgery.

I suggest that you get a better ear specialist doctor, get a second and third opinion. Go to to the Internet for answer (do reach on medical sites, go to another town if no doctor help you there where you are. This is a serious medical problem and without help you could lose your hearing for good.

You should see a doctor because it could be one of MANY different possibilities. It might be a dangerous infection building up, so see your doctor as soon as possible before anything damaging occurs.

More than likely, that "woosh" is liquid hitting your ear drum. It may or may not be infected, but you need to get it taken care of. My aunt died from an ear infection that wasn't taken care of...no lie.
