it depends how old you are. but whether you are 12 or 18 you still have to be honest and tell them exactly the plans and listen to what they think about it. its hard for parents to see their children grow up and to let go so dont make it harder by not telling the truth or not telling them at all and them then not trusting you anymore.

Just say it. When they get that mad or upset look. Tell them about the guy, how you met him, what he does and how he does at school, tell them he will pick you up and htey can meet him. It will be scary, but hopefully the date will be worth it.

just tell your mom dont tell your dad getting a little pushy or if your dad is nice dont tell your mom
