OK If married military to civilian no dependants, etc. you may be given an option of off base or dorms. BUT if Off base this MAY come out of your pocket, read that NO BAQ,

HOWEVER, on some bases there is a housing shortage, and your commander may decide after checking with housing to authorise you to continue living off base. Several of my airmen live off base, in most cases they get at least some of their BAQ if not all.

But, at my base, we have a housing shortage.
you could of course get a room mate or two and go that route. split costs, etc.
Talk to your NCO and/or supervisor, hopefully you can solve it without the first shirt. Because regardlessof what the final deal is any good first sergeant will ask if you have discussed this with your shop NCO, if you haven't that is step 1.

Good luck and sorry bout the divorce.

been there done that

As a first term airman without dependents, you will likely have to move back into the dorms.

As expensive as housing is, you'll probably need to.

Discuss this with your first sergeant. Don't think you can conceal it. Remember, your allowances are based on having a dependent and if you conceal the divorce, you're committing fraud. Not saying you'd do that, but I understand the temptation. Dorm life sucks.
