If you are not a Muslim then the rules of Islam do not apply to you. Muslims believe you will be judged by what you know. If you never learned about Islam, you will not be judged as a Muslim.
In contrast, if you learned about Islam and rejected it, you will be held accountable for that.
You say you believe in God. That's a good start. Islam is all about submission to the will of God. So if you believe in God, what do you believe God asks of you? If you follow that you should be fine.
I should note, there are some basics to Islam that are required (the five pillars). Everything else is more or less "minor" and not following it doesn't make you a non-Muslim. For example, you mention pork. You can be a Muslim and still eat pork. Though it's considered a sin, nobody will say you can't be a Muslim. There are some Muslims who are really fanatic and say you have to conform to all extreme guidelines in order to be a Muslim. But in reality, anyone who believes in the One God and all His prophets including Mohammed is a Muslim.
So about your question.. will he still go to hell? Some will tell you yes, some will tell you no. To say either way is to make a decision that is no one's to make but God's. I believe God will judge each person based on his intentions.
Hope that helped.

You need to study more and gain more knowledge and come to your own conclusion. I myself being a Muslim would never eat pork and believe in Allah's revelations its simply not enough to be a good person you have to worship God how he wants to be worshiped. Allah is most forgiving and whoever gets into heaven or is sent to Hell is for him and him alone to decide. But from what i have studied and read i would be concerned for myself if i had the same attitude that you do. I used to think the same before becoming a Muslim and once i studied the quran i was so happy that the true path had been revealed to me and i had a chance to put things right. Even Muslims who dont eat pork and worship Allah like he says to worship dont believe they have a free pass to paradise. We have to try our whole lives to be good followers and still at the end who knows what Gods judgment will be. Gain more knowledge and do what you feel is right for you.

Not a Muslim, but you have an interesting question. Have you ever considered how many good deeds must be performed to satisfy God in order to prevent one from going to hell?
The answer is not in the number of deeds we do, charity we've paid, what you eat, etc.
God intended man to be "free" from such things as this. Prophecy from the time of Abraham pointed to the one who was to come-who would pay the price for sin. Jesus the Christ is the answer. God redeemed you from hell through Jesus' blood. Good deeds are now done as a result of being saved-not because we want to be saved.
Hope to hear back from you.

Any being that would condemn a person to hell is not a being worth associating with I believe. But there's a lot of things about belief systems that I don't like. If God is perfect and all knowing he cannot create things that displease him, unless it pleases him to create a flawed creation.
Also if God is infinite then nothing but God could exist as infinity is just that, completely inclusive of all that exists. Including pigs.
Religion isn't big on solid logic however (no particular religion in mind, just the main ones I hear about ;) ).

The laws of islam are clear
if someone died on a state of islam, he will enter garden regardless his work .. BUT he MAY be tortured in hell for some time to purify him fromhis sins before entering heaven.
The question .. how come someone belive that Muhammad (sas) is a messenger of God and don't regret eating Pork .. it's simply impossiple

we Muslims don't believe that when some1 dies(a believer which is a Jew,Christian or Muslim) he or she will go to hell forever(unless they attempted suicide which is a different case). every1 will go to hell first for a period of time and be punished for the bad stuff they did here in this life(cause no1 is free of sins except the prophets), and after they get punished they go to a part of paradise depending on how much good stuff they did here in this life.
now eating pork is 'haram' in Islam which means it's a sin, so the person eating pork will be punished, but not forever, just for a period of time.

The final decision is obviously from Allah because Allah is merciful and forgiving also. Therefore it would be wrong for anyone to say where that person will end up, especially when the person is not a Muslim (as their religion may not forbid pork) and their good deeds outweigh the bad ones.

Pork is not allowed in Islam because it contains a kind of harmful worm
Regarding the example you're using, it's up to God to decide who goes to heaven and who goes to hell...We humans (in general) do what we're supposed to do, and then leave the final decision to God

Well honestly that's not for anyone except ALLAH to decide but in my opinion I'd assume you might go to Jahannam for eating pork which is Haraam.
