If you guys are good friends, and are sure of keeping it that way, then go! If you feel there's a loophole, and something could possibly happen between the two of you, I suggest you skip it.
Try making this road trip a group thingy. Call a bunch of your pals rather than just the two of you. That way, you're sure to have the harmless fun, and leave out anything uncalled for.
GoodLuck!

Cancel? Why would you cancel if she's so excited about the trip? The boyfriend is her issue to deal with, not yours. All I can tell you is that no man - boyfriend or husband - would get away with telling me I couldn't take a road trip with my male best friend. If trust isn't there, there is no point to the relationship.

If he's okay with the two of you going on the trip alone and you're clearly just friends, then it shouldn't be a problem. If he doesn't like the idea, back out of it. There's no need to make him feel uncomfortable

At the very least, the two of you should talk with the b/f. Are you wanting more than friendship with this girl? If so, this is a bad thing, this trip.

At some point when you and her get into a car or an airplane or bus....you have both already marginized the b/f. Really, just the fact that you have these plans already makes it obvious. You probably like this girl and if she goes with you to "Chill" then she likes you as well. NOW, if this other dude is JUST a boyfriend to her, then, you are within your rights to pursue her. I wish you the very best of luck with that. I lost a really good friend doing exactly what you are doing right now. He hates me, she still loves me and wants me to make her breakfast right now......I gotta go.

Are you planning on doing anything with her? If you are then it is pretty bad, but if not, it is alright.
