do I need a passport?

I will be traveling after 23 Jan when passports will be required for most travel out of the US.

However, going to Guam is not out of the US, as Guam is a US territory.

Appreciate your input!

S.

Since Guam is a US territory and you are not staying overin Japan you shouldn't need a passport. Just check with the airlines to make sure. Guam is a beautiful place. I lived there when I was a kid. I got kind of bored then, there was not a lot to do but go to the beach. But now that I am older I would love to go back. The beaches are very pretty. There is a place called Talafofo ( I hope I spelled it right) falls. That when I lived there ( in the 80's) was very natural and beautiful, only you had to walk down a very long steep, hill with sharp curves. getting down wasn't that bad but going up after swimmin all day was a feat.
The fiesta's there are soo good, incredible food. If you don't know ,or havnt tried it yet try chicken keliguin (i realy think that is spelled wrong)
Also there was a great hamburger place called The Cold Spot-- I think it is still there---they have the best hamburgers.
The people there are very open and freindly--- you should have a good time.

I would suggest that you check with your airline directly as they would be able to give you a definite answer. I don't think that that trip requires a passport as you are traveling to a US territory. You can also check the DHS website http://www.dhs.gov/xtrvlsec/crossingborders they have all of the information about crossing borders, etc...

When I last checked Hawaii is a state, in fact it was admitted to the union in 1959.
