Hi there...consider asking your mother who is a veterinarian as only she will know if your cat is healthy or not and if the ear wound is now healing well. There are many factors which determines a cats perfect health, not only comes from what we see on the outside, but it's are it's nutritional needs being met through diet, exercise to maintain healthy muscle tone, emotional needs being met with social interaction, etc. A cat can have both wet and dry nose and be perfectly fine. Body temperature is measured rectally (100.5-103 is normal feline temp) and when a cat acts lethargic, not willing to eat, drink or use the litter box these are some red flags which are used to determine a cat is not feeling well.
Your answer which states your mother is a veterinarian who is away at work

Remember, every cat is unique. If you have any concerns about
your own cat’s health, be sure to take your pet to a veterinarian for a complete exam.
A cat's body condition is considered ideal when a well-proportioned figure.
You should be able to observe a "waist" behind the ribs when the cat is viewed from above.
Normal, healthy skin color ranges from pale pink through shades of brown to black.
Healthy skin is smooth, pliable, and free from dandruff and odors.
Clear, bright eyes which are free from dishcharge are also a sign your cat is feeling his best.
Active and energetic.
Alert posture.
If he has a good appetite, he should be ok.

Then you should be sure to get them all annual checkups by your vet. Cats can often be very ill but not show any outward signs - it comes from their ancestry of being descended from wild cats. Wild cats don't show pain or illness because it makes them vulnerable to predators. I'm not going to say what "looks" like a healthy cat for the reasons I stated above. Don't assume your cats are fine - get them regular checkups.

a shiney coat is NOT necessarily a sign of good health.. some low quality foods use extra fat in their food to give the cat a shiney coat to fool the owners into thinking their cat is healthy and on good food....
a healthy cat will be active... will sleep.. eat... drink.. poop... and simply enjoy being a cat...
a cut on the ear isnt a sign of poor health - if its swollen though - there could be infection

If he has been around another cat it could possibly be where they were fighting. A healthy cat will have a beautiful coat, keep his ears clean since cats are prone to have earmites, check his gums they should be pink in color, cold nose is normal, some cats are prone to have a dry nose due to licking it and please keep him wormed. If you haven't had him neutered please do so.

soft, shiny coat, playfulness, bright eyes, holds tail straight up with a curl in the end--for happy cat. good appetite.
normal cats are perky, playful, eat a lot, and play a lot--tyhen they sleep forever every day.
if kitty only has a cut on his ear, he is probably healthy--and needs to be neutered and kept indrs--outdoor kitties get killed by cars, evil people, and other animals--be kind to your kitty--keep him indoors and fixed.
