The red bulb is out. All TV's have three bulbs, red, yellow, and blue. Since only the yellow and blue bulbs are working, you are getting a green hue. You can try callling around tv repair shops and getting a quote. Depending on what kind of tv you have, it may be cheaper to replace the tv instead of the bulb.

The problem is that it either needs degaussing or the color purity is off.

Most TVs have an automatic degaussing circuit. If you unplug it for several hours, then plug it back in and turn it on, it should degauss automatically.

If that does not work, some of them have advanced digital adjustments, that you can work from the menu.

If one of the electron guns is not working, you need a new picture tube or a TV replairman, probably cheaper to replace it.
