This is in Genesis, the fourth chapter. God sent Cain away to a land where it would be hard to live, because Cain killed his brother. Ok, my question is, did God just create this land simply to send Cain there? It says in the Bible that Cain had a wife and bore a child. How were there people in this new land if it was just Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel on Earth? Did God just create random people who were the same age as Cain? Any thoughts or insights? thanks!

Where did Cain Get His Wife?

In Genesis 4:16 it says, "Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord, and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden. 17And Cain had relations with his wife and she conceived, and gave birth to Enoch; and he built a city, and called the name of the city Enoch, after the name of his son."
Genesis tells us that Adam and Eve had two sons: Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel, was exiled by God, and then in Genesis 4:17 we read that Cain had relations with his wife. Where did Cain get his wife? The answer is simple: Cain married either his sister or a niece.
In Genesis 5:4 we see that Adam had other sons and daughters.

"This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. 2He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created. 3When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his own likeness, according to his image, and named him Seth. 4Then the days of Adam after he became the father of Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters. 5So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died," (Gen. 5:1-5).

Since Adam lived several hundred years, having lots of children was not a problem. The Genesis account does not tell us about the order of the births nor does it tell us how old they were. By having many children it is certainly possible that there were many women around. This would mean that Cain married either a sister or a niece or some other relation. Of course at this point, the question of inbreeding is raised. But it is not a problem early on in the human race because the genetic line was so pure. Therefore, the prohibition against incest was not proclaimed until much much later (Lev. 18:6-18).

ADAM AND HIS CHILDREN TO GRANDCHILDREN TO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN

Adam is created to 02nd year has a son named Cain.
Adam is created to 04th year has a son named Abel.
Adam is created to 06th year has a son.
Adam is created to 08th year has a girl.
Adam is created to 28th year has 4 & 4. 12 children. Has 2 granddaughter,
Adam is created to 48th year has 22 children, Cain 46, Abel 44, 42, 40, 38, 36, 34, 32.
Adam is created to 58th year has 25 children, gandchildren and great grandchildren.
Adam is created to 99th year has 45 children, 4 generation and cousins.

Gen.4:25,26 [ Cain slew Abel ], 5: 3 Adam is age 130 when Seth is born.

Adam age 130, Cain age 128, kills Able 126 and Seth is born. Cain takes a wife.

WHAT FATHER COULD BE AGE 130 AND HAVE A SON 128 AND 126, BUT ADAM?

Adam said, Eve was bone of his bone and flesh of his flesh. None could be closer and the incest law was not in the land until 2515 years later with Aaron and Moses.

There are other people in the land besides Adam, Eve, Cain and Abel but, don’t think that they do not came to Adam and Eve because according to. “Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.”
If you will read carefully and scrutinize the scripture you will see in chapter 4 of genesis verse 8 to 15 there is discussion between the Lord and Cain that Cain is afraid that there is someone could kill him. He said this because he is aware that there are other people in the land and these people are his siblings. The scripture point or emphasize the story of Cain and Abel to set an example of what is good and what is not.The other people were not mention in bible because there roles were not as significant as the others.

I hope this will help you and pls. log on http://www.truthcaster.com for more interesting topic about the bible.

Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters (Genesis 5:4). Adam lived to be 930 (Genesis 5:5), so you can only imagine how many children he fathered! Cain married one of his sisters or nieces.

Taken at face value, "Eve" was named such because she was to be the "mother of all living things". Therefore, Cain's wife would have had to also have been his sister.

Again, taken literally, Adam and Eve were created perfect, with no defects whatsoever. Therefore, presumably their children could have interbred for a few generations without any crippling genetic defects.

I am not a Christian, but I used to be, and that was the explanation I believed at one time. For what it's worth.

Well, most of us agree on the "pure blood line" and that only the "major players" are mentioned in the bible. However here is some food for thought. We are talking about the old testament, we get that from the Jewish religion. I've been told by my Jewish Friends. we have condensed a lot of that down too. That eve was Adam's second wife. Should we not get the "Base document" first. Encoh is mentioned in our bible for being a very good man and the only one thus far to have God taken him without suffering the pain of death. But the jewish writtings on him goes into much much more in depth as to the good man he was.

No. The Bible refers to Eve as the mother of us all...Adam lived 930 year and not every moment is documented. If his entire life and children's lives were completely documented Genesis would be much larger than the entire scriptures. The Bible does teach this and it is not a mystery. Adam had many sons and daughters in 930 years one can only imagine and consider children who lived as long and grandchildren if you do the math you will find entire cities and civilizations came forth during his lifetime.

The Bible says that Adam and Eve had many children in the hundreds of years that they lived. IT is just logical that they began to fill the area there, as they grew and became independent. And, since this was the very beginning, and there was as yet no law of Moses, incest was not a sin, so the only way they could possibly increase and multiply as God had commanded, was to marry in the family.

Great question -
On the 7 days that God refurbished the earth, it was on the 6th day that God created man and woman, and told them to go be fruitful and multiply. Then the 7th day He rested. On the 8th day He formed Adam, a specific guy to keep the grounds of the garden of eden, and of course, formed Eve to be with him as a wife. When Cain was thrown out, he went to the city of Nod which was built by the folks of that 6th day creation - many peoples of all the races. Cain married a girl from there, and had children.
