I am not talking a relaxer. I have heard of products that can loosen the curl of African American hair that will help it to become more manageable. I am not looking for anythign that will straighten my hair just something to loosen up the curls a bit. I have heard of two products, Curlaway and New Options Mineral softener on these websites.

Does anyone know if these work or if not are there any other products available.

Yes... I have curly hair.. not that curly.. but I understand what you want.. you love your curls you just dont wanna fight with them in the morning to keep them in the right place... well, you can find it in a hair and beauty supply store.. I dont know where you live but in NY there is this store sally where you find everything and I found the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair.. now my curls are really soft and I even can comb it!!!!! ( I dont do it because then I will look like the bottom of a broom). Let me give you the link maybe you can find a store around your neighborhood.. Good luck.

have you already tried the japanese hair straightening? Have a look (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_hair_straightening) I think its the healthiest and best way to straighten hair. Unfortunately it´s a little bit pricy.
