what wood make up a good meal for that many folks?

I agree with everyone that pasta would be good. It is not very expensive and is relatively easy.

The key is to not get nervous I cook for over a dozen people every Saturday and Sunday. Anything that you can cook for one you can cook for ten, just cook more. I always cook more than I think I will need so that I am sure I have enough.

Some kind of baked ziti or pasta or lasagna dish, a big salad, and a hearty soup or chili. The pasta and soup is assembled ahead, and all you have to do is toss together a salad and toast some bread for garlic bread or crostini.

Make two lasagnas (if they like to eat a lot) with a big salad and some garlic bread (with cheese on top!!). For dessert make some brownies with ice cream or two pies.

Get a big honey baked ham.....stuffing with gravy....no mashed-potatoes....rolls....salad....vegetables....and some store bought pies....easy to make and feeds a lot of people....but spaghetti and garlic bread is easier and cheaper to make....
