The word sincere doesnt mean sinless. You could commit a lot of sins but still be true to yourself.

You believe in being punished but not in God? If yes, then who do you suppose that Punisher will be? ... Think about it. People can't be punished just like that if there's no Punisher. Simply ask that Punisher (who's also a Reward-Giver, by the way) to accept your sincerity so you won't be punished....

You create a problem by mentioning "sinless," since the concept is heavily defined in a religious lexical field. If by a sin you mean something that goes against a particular religion, like having or encouraging an abortion or blaspheming God or divorcing, then remarrying, then the answer would be "no," in my opinion. But if by a "sin" you mean basic violations of morality like murder, theft, and intentional cruelty to another human being, then you'd be punished -- but so would you be if you believed in God. One upshot seems to be--to me--that it doesn't matter very much at all if you believe in God but it makes a great difference if you conduct your life in a moral, caring way. This latter SHOULD be the purpose of religions but often isn't.

Luke 18:9 The pharisee was sincere and honest he was praying.
so why would he lie. He gave a tenth of all things he acquired and did everything just right. But he was self righteous and viewed the others as nothing. He went out of the temple condemed so going to church is not what makes you right with God. It is your attitude.
The muslims believe and are very sincere in their belief. But not what you want is what counts with God but what is right.
Killing people is breaking the ten commandments. So these sucide bombers as sincere as they may be are not right with god.
Killing to protect yourself is not a sin. But going over there to kill is another story.

Think about it.

If I walk around the throne room of the king of Saudi Arabia, thinking it's a hotel room, does it matter how sincere my belief in that is? Once I drop an angry loaf in the corner in sincere belief it's the toilet, stuff is gonna happen negatively in my life.

Great Kings deserve respect and recognition, and if they don't get it, they break your whole mess off at right angles.

Oddly, I heard Ted Haggard say that the only way to ENSURE you're going to heaven is if you believe in Jesus. He then said that without that, you'll have to see what God thinks of your actions and how they weigh out in the balance.

This was a theological stance I'd never heard from a Christian before. Usually they cite that "No one comes to the father but by me (Jesus)."

BTW, I'm an atheistic agnostic.

God sent his son to die for our sins and Jesus done that willingly, if you refuse this gift then you have chosen eternal damnation in hell.God will protect us but we must ask him into our lives and live as a christian(not sinless).Jesus died for us because we or "yourself" cannot save you.True stuff bro, wake up.The devil will lie to you and he is a beautiful creature on the outside.God is steadfast and will endure for eternity as our creator and sustainer of life.Good luck!

To bake a chocolate cake you add a lot of wonderful ingredients. Sugar , Flour, Milk, Eggs, Coco.. You mix them in a bowl and and bake then until the cake is done to perfection. But would the cake be good for anything if one one of the eggs was rotten? All those wonderful fresh ingredients ruined by that one bad one... Our lives are like that we add wonderful qualities like love, kindness, compassion, charity. Then we add anger, hate, lust, lies.. We stir this up and bake it for 70 years or so then offer it to God.. Can't you see unacceptable this is to God. Would you want anything given to you that was so filled with filth? No we can't make ourselves acceptable to God. He did that for us in Jesus Christ. He offers us His righteousness and willingly take our sin and covers it with His own blood.. All He asks is that you except the gift of life that He offers.... Jim

God made you!! Who are you, in referance to God?? Without God you are nothing but foder for the fire!! Sincerity?? Look at the first three letters of that word, tell me that God didn't know you would use it today. I don't care what else you do, but if you turn your back on God, if you refuse the Blood of Jesus Christ, you will go to hell.

The reason a lot of people don't believe in God, is because they don't believe they will be punished for their sins after they die!

Christ atoned for sin and said no one comes to the Father but through him. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It is not by our righteousness but his we gain our salvation. If man has value in the truth he will seek it and the truth will be revealed to him.
