Lemon and powder carbonate mixture is working good. Just brush your teeth with it once a week.

NOOO. Lots of people have been saying to use hydrogen peroxide, when really, you shouldn't. While it's good for practically bleaching your teeth, it also causes mild chemical burns. You can see this easily when you put a little hydrogen peroxide on your hand. Your skin will turn ashy because it's giving you a chemical burn, and putting this in your mouth is probably NOT the best way to whiten your teeth. Instead, actually take the time to brush your teeth. Get a good abrasive toothpaste or use whitening strips you can easily buy in a drug store. While nothing (and I mean NOTHING) can take the place of good flossing and brushing practices, extra whitening with strips and using toothpaste specifically for whitening can help a good amount.

Hi Angel:
There are two ways to make your teeth whiter:
++Whitening:
Which involve only mecanical procedures and it's quite safe (just take care of your gums); whitening will only remove those stains that are external; you can mix a bit of carbonate whit your toothpaste so when you brush them you can remove those external stains.
++Bleaching:
This procedure involves the chemical fragmentation of internal stains; this is the one related to the long term damage, because the carbamida peroxide (also known as urea peroxide) has a small enoug particle to reach the nerve inside a tooth and irritate it; If you want to bleach your teeth (maybe if the whitening doesn't work whit you) the best advice is to go to the dental ofice; because it will be a faster and controled procedure; but if you don't want to there are several products aviable to make it home; in my opinion Crest's Whitestrips (bands) and Colgate's Simply White (gel) are great products because they have the aceptation of several dental asociations and the concentration of carbamide is very safe; the home made version for these one is to rinse your mouth once a day whith oxigenated water (H2O2 you can get it in the drug store); the carbamida peroxide always fragmentates itself into oxigenated water so this option will work, it's very very safe but also very slow.
As a final advice:
If yo're goig to whiten ur teeth at home take a picture of them so you can compare it along the procedure; as home made procedures are quite slow sometimes we did't realice the advances.
Hope i've helped.
Smile ;-)

I used baking soda over 50 year , have the whites teeth, along with the baking soda use your brand of tooth paste, to rid the stain use the two above plus hydrogen peroxide ( topical solution)
it wont damage the teeth, I use it on a daily base, or until it's need once more-

So you have sensitive teeth. You know some years before I used to get lots of dental problems but now my teeth are quite healthy. And the reason is only one. Now I brush my teeth twice in a day. Brushing your teeth before going to bed is extremely important. Secondly, always rinse your mouth after every meal. This will help to kill bacteria and thus you will get healthy teeth. If you are out, at restaurant or café or at canteen, you can keep a mouth wash with you. So you can gargle after you eat and can decrease the chances of dental ailments. Visit your dental once in a six months. Ask your dental the right procedure to brush your teeth. Sometimes our way of holding toothbrush may go wrong. You can do threading (cleaning your teeth with the thread specially meant for it) on regular occasion. But just do not forget one thing, which is very important, and my own experience tells so, brush your teeth twice in a day.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken.I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/ep7yg

These are some options:
1-grind coal and mix it with salt and scrub your teeth VERY gently
2- baking soda
3- mix a crushed 1 ripe strawberry with 1/2 teaspoon baking soda and paint your teeth with it. Leave it for 5 min, then brush and rinse with water.
4- rub your teeth with fresh sage
5- eat raspberry
6- chew on a leaf of fresh spearmint
7- brushing of course 3 times a day
P'S: strawberry and raspberry contain antioxidants which oxidise organic discoloration.

there isn't any long term damage from whitening your teeth professionally. everything is a temporary symptom i.e. sensitive teeth.
you should research a little more.
oh, and lemon juice is acidic which will weaken your enamel and cause damage. so, sometimes, natural isn't the best.
