There's no way to know for sure if your puppy is a pure bred American Staffordshire Terrier unless his parents were both AKC registered. In that case, you would have received AKC registration papers with him.
Other than that, "Pit Bull" is a very broad term, which is often used to encompass everything from American Staffordshire Terriers, to American Pit Bull Terriers (which are not AKC registered), and many times breeds of dogs such as the Presa Canario, Cane Corso, and sometimes even breeds such as Boxers and Bulldogs to the less educated.
If you're lacking AKC registration papers, your best bet is to check out the AKC website and see if your puppy meets breed standards. That should give you a good idea of his heritage.
Unless you were planning to breed or show, it's not really a huge deal... if you're just keeping him as a pet, and you call him a Pit Bull, most people will get the idea. Besides, if you don't have the AKC papers, you won't get too far showing, and a reputable breeder wouldn't even consider breeding without the papers. (Not to mention a few dog show wins under his belt, but that's a hot topic here as it is, so I'll digress from that for the moment).
At any rate, I have two Basset Hounds of questionable heritage; they're both from the shelter and have no AKC papers. It doesn't make any difference to me one way or another; they're both altered and make perfectly good pets for me.

I would say that if he looks like the rest of your dogs in structure and head features then it's not a Pitt bull, but if it doesn't have the same features it very well could be one. The colors are not as important as the structural features. I used to raise Boston Terriers and you get one once in a while that are not marked or colored right, like an all white head with one brindle or black ear. If you want to make sure call and ask to see the sire and dame (mother and father) and see what they look like to be sure.

There are website that give special details of what a purebred pit would look like. Or if you find that to be diffult then you just go to any vet and ask them or even a breeder. One more place would be a pet store like petsmart or petco and ask for a groomer or the dog trainer. I hope I helped.

There's no way to know what she is without a pedigree. The fact that they told you she's "full pit" leads me to believe she's a "bully type" mix, not a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier.

Pit Bulls have a lot of variation in color. Type "Pit Bull Photos" in your search bar and look at different photos of the breed. Compare that to your dog.

Staffordshire and APBT`s are different dogs. The color of the coat has nothing to do with being purebred or not.
