Not likely, unless you take several times the suggested dose. The amount in the supplements is actually less than your daily need (the pill would have to be three times as big to do that!). Make sure that you keep drinking milk and other sources of calcium.

If you are eating and "acid forming" diet. Your body wants to be alkaline, but most of us eat much more acid forming foods than alkaline ones. If you are eating 80% of your diet of sugars, flours, meats and processed foods then those are acid forming. If you are eating more than 80% of your diet in green vegetables, then those are alkaline forming foods. You actually need more magnesium than calcium, otherwise it will end up being deposited not only in your joint, but also your soft tissues, like arteries, kidneys and muscles (fibromyalgia). Magnesium is actually more important than calcium. You can get it from an alkaline diet of green leaft veggies!
