I think it depends on the man. There are some men you like to live with and some that are useless and annoying.

Too many people are dependent on having relationships, because they cannot stand to be alone. These types of people are shallow as all hell. You should not need to be with someone, you should want to be with someone, that is the basis for love, and potentially more.
