That's just his/her baby teeth coming out. I remember finding little doggy teeth around the house when my dog was that age. Also... I don't know if it helps but we had to experiment with a lot of different dog foods before our dog found one he liked. If in doubt and you're really worried about him not eating... try boiled chicken and rice for a little while. However, if he still refuses to eat then maybe take him/her to the vets for a check-up. :-)

Starting around 4.5 months puppies will begin losing their teeth. They will start with the canines (one or max two at a time). When they fall out there will be a small hole (sometimes a bit red from blood) and this can hurt the small fellows. Normally the canines will change out and then the front teeth and then the back ones.
They can be sensitive at this time - they might not bite and play as they normally do - they might sulk and not eat as well since their gums hurt.

Losing baby teeth at this age is completely normal. While teething many puppies don't eat good. I suggest moistening her food with warm water (if feeding dry) and/or feeding her canned food while she is teething. Also give her plenty of safe chew toys. To help her gums feel better you can put yogurt in a kong and freeze it or put a wet washcloth in the freezer until it freezes and then give it to her. They also sell teething toys for dogs that can be put in the freezer.

Your dog is loosing his or her puppy teeth.
Continue to feed the normal diet your feeding now. You may moisten up a small portion of it with warm water and let it sit until softer and give that twice per day.
Do not switch foods you can teach a dog to get picky and not eat if they think something better will come if they stop eating long enough.
Your pet will not starve itself to any harm. They may not like to eat dry kibble wiht loose teeth. The teething should be over in a few weeks and new teeth will soon be in place.
Do not worry your pet will be fine.

You really shouldn't be asking that question here, you need to get him to the vet as soon as possible if he isn't eating properly. His teeth could be merely his milk teeth falling out and the others are waiting to come through. Good luck, hope he is okay.

Springers are the best.we have had the pleasure of having two and the female we have now is the heart of our home, she did the same thing as a pup and we either stepped on the teeth or she swallowed them.and she is now a happy healthy 7 year old.your pups gums are sore because of the new teeth coming in,give her alot of chew toys my dogs really love baby carrots, they are cold and I think they feel good on their gums, and they are good for them also remember springers are very smart so try to find her a job to do every day, mine gets my husband up for work in the morning then she gets a treat,And they are a very sensitive breed ,so always try to be calm with your pup and it will be your very best friend, good luck and enjoy.

she may be teething and her gums are sore. Get a raw beef bone and put it in the freezer and let her have it when it is frozen as the cold will sooth her gums and stop them hurting. Or try putting a whole raw carrot in the freezer to do the same thing. I do this for teething puppies and also in very hot weather to help keep my dogs cool.
