it's hot!! I like girls you can fend for themselves rather than relying on a man.

Great! More girls should consider taking self defense or martial arts courses.
Honestly, when I first started karate three and a half years ago, most of the guys at the dojo went easy on me-more so than my male counterparts, even those who were a lower rank than I was. This made me so upset that I made a promise to myself to change their minds. Unfortunately, some of the more pig-headed of the boys and men I encounter still think I am weak (until they spar me that is!)
GIRLS OUT THERE: get into martial arts...there are a lot of creeps out there.

I'm a girl who took 8 years of karate and have a black belt. Nothing wrong with it. In fact, most people think it's pretty cool!

A girl that takes Karate is athletic, strong, and mature as long as she is doing it the right way.

It's cool. We have many at our dojo and I think they have the same potential as a male karate-ka.

it's cool i think that all martial artist man or women learns alot more then u can learn by playing in a team sport i would rather train 4 martial arts with a girl rather then play football with her... actually there r some girls in the gym that i train that fight in the cage and they don't play around.

My wife, at the time girlfriend, told me the first time i pissed her off she was going to kick me in the throat. This is how i found out she studied martial arts. She had studied kickboxing for 6 years. proir. Now it wasnt the fact that was going to kick me that bothered me, it was the fact that she specified the throat. By the way my wife is of Japanese decent, 5'9" tall and fit.
no sparring yet, thank God...

Both my mother and stepfather are martial artists. So it makes me think of my mother, to be honest ;) There is a LONG history of women in the martial arts, especially Japanese forms.

I have dated a few female martial artists. It's always nice to be with someone who has interests like mine.

I think "good for her". Some of my best students are girls. Martial Arts are even more important for girls/women than they are for boys/min since they are inherently more vulnerable.

I think it is great and good exercise as well. However, on the lighter side, if she says no on a date, I would pay attention to it!
