our morals are gone with the housewife going back to work,, like it or leave it, the days of Beaver cleaver having his mom at home to straighten out his little life before Ward came home to instill the fear of god into are long gone,, with both parents working obviously to damn tired to worry about their kids ripping off people, doing drugs, drinking, teen pregnancy since they are home alone,, TV shows showing sex sex sex,,, and no one going to church anymore,,
our college age kids will have kids,, and God helps us then,,, all the technology, fast foods, and our fat kids,, they have no imagination, cant play by themselves,,,
I hope I dont live that long,

I would rather have a teen asks a question pertaining to sex and dating so that they are armed with the facts rather than have them making mistakes that have the potential of ruining their whole life.
Teenagers are much more advanced physically and emotionally sooner in this time period than any other because of the growth hormones in meat. Unfortunately their experience has not kept pace and what they learn about sex at home is practically none existent. They need help from somewhere. I say bravo to Yahoo for providing a forum where they can do so.
Morals are taught. Let's use this opportunity to teach correctly.

because you never know when you will mean your ture love. some meet theirs at a young age and some are much older. I have friends that are high school sweet hearts and have been married for many years now. they were each others first with everything. So you never know..rather than telling our youth to hide in the bedroom till they are 30 why not give them good sound advice that may help guide them in the right direction. I am not saying the youth needs to go out and sleep with everythign that walks by--it is the best idea to wait til marriage, but its ok to be in a relationship.

I agree with you. You can almost tell by the way they are asking the question that they are way to immature. I also suspect that the under 17 are answering questions that they know nothing about. We all need to be a little more perceptive about the age we are dealing with. What I would like to know is where are the parents of these kids under 17? Today's parenting just sucks. They look to any thing to be their babysitter. They are consistent with very little. It's sad.

Sometimes it's not that simple. If it's a serious question that you would not want a teen misinformed about then you have to answer it cause simply telling them YOU ARE TOO YOUNG isn't gonna stop them from doing whatever they want to do. They just don't respond to being told they are too young--you can add it as an after thought and hope they listen.

Because sticking your head in the sand like an ostrich will not resolve the problem, it will only exacerbate it by ignoring issues. Those young teens are our future and it is far better to give them useful advice on how to cope with what they are feeling and going through than to let them flounder which could result in an unwanted teen pregancy.

Are you a teen? They do have relationships too, remember when you were young? They will fail at love & have heartbreak like we did when we were their age & they deserve some advice if they are asking!!! It doesn't matter what you or anyone else thinks about their age....they will still suffer through relationships of their own....it's just normal.

Morals are subjective to the culture in which you are raised. My morals are based on my life experience and what I was taught by the people that surround me. Where I am from teenage sex is not considered immoral.

a lot of times, personal spaces are interupted with these kind of questions, and any quick answer may be given, just to get them outa there.
Me? I think the process of dating and infatuation encounters, are difficult to those under 18

Because that would be patronising. Young teens need advice - here in the UK we have many teenage pregnancies and the majority have said advice may have stopped them getting pregnant.
