Because the government wants to take them away from us to control us. Guns don't kill people its the person behind the gun who kills people. And the government don't understand that. They think that all weapons should be taken away from us and there would be less crime. WRONG!!! I'm a gun owner and a hunter and I'll be damned if I'm going to let the government control my guns. The importance of gun control is that we are intitled to own one from the amendments rights. They are trying to get rid of that also. But they can't. They might end up with a riot if they do. There are a few hunting org. that will help us keep our guns and our rights to own them.
Hope this helps ya out.

R P then B mentioned this "Ask any Jewish survivor regarding the Holocaust, guess what the 1st difficulty Hitler did to start it, he banned them from possessing weapons." Hitler banned smoking too so i assume which potential all non human beings who smoke are racist. "Ask any occupation criminal how he selects his targets, he seems for those which could not safeguard themselves." truthfully THUGS stay away from robbing people who don't have weapons. occupation CRIMINALS truthfully aim homes that have weapons as a results of fact then the criminals get to steel the weapons. i've got comprehend 3 different families who had gun collections. All 3 have had destroy-ins. the different homes interior the community - not something. Edit "Violence has skyrocketed in England and Australia after the bans. Our shape became written via some very insightful human beings, the 2d protects each and all of the others." sure it has, even inspite of the shown fact that it continues to be lots below it somewhat is the the US.

The more guns in private hands, the safer we all are. The purpose of government is the protection of life and property. It is not the state's function to guarantee your safety. That is your job. When the state interferes with your ability to defend yourself, you are losing your civil rights.

It is the state's job to take the people who are a danger to the rest of us, out of circulation. When they can't or won't do that, it is incumbent on us to replace them.

The term "gun control", when used by politicians and the media, refers to civilian disarmament. The very idea of our public servants disarming the citizens of this nation is a case of the agent dictating to the principal. That is, the servant ordering master. These people are a detriment to our nation.

Guns are too dangerous a thing to allow politicians to have a monopoly on.

Look at Washington DC and New York.
You can not legally own a gun , but the murder rates are sky high.
Gun Control sets up the sheep for the wolves in society.
Criminals and dictators love gun control, it makes their job so much easier .

Gun control "is" important! NRA agrees with this all the way. The problem is there are too many people out there that just hate guns altogether and if we let our government enforce gun control on their level of doing things, they can go steps beyond and confiscate our guns.

Combining both parts of your question as a whole, makes no sense. Gun control is hitting your target. Any restrictions on guns is a violation of my rights as an American. Unlike many of the faux rights the left screams about, this one is in the BIll of Rights.

It appears reasonable for a nation to have some type of gun control. There does appear to be justification to restrict the individual ownership of automatic weapons and to ban gun ownership by felons. Automatic weapons have no sporting use. I am familiar with the view that criminals will always have access to firearms. I concur with that view, but do wish to make it as difficult as possible for felons to obtain a weapon. I am a gun owner and believe strongly that a citizen has a right to own weapons. If one wishes to take the class and obtain a concealed handgun permit, that is fine with me. In fact, society might be safer if more members carried firearms.

Here in Canada,we have very strict gun control, but other than bothering the legal hunters, and wrapping them up in red tape,I dont see much difference.
Crime is the same as it was before controls, and bad guys are all very well armed.

we do have gun control, aiming with one hand and pullong trigger with the other. seriously, we have the right to bear arms, the law biding citizens that obey the laws, and respect the laws, would be punished moreso if govt had there way, the criminals will always have better guns and ammo.
fla. past the dont back down law, when criminals break into your house, u have the right to defend yourself, crime has went down
since they made it public knowledge, you wont get sued protecting your home and family. crime went down.
