Well, first of all, you will probably need to change your culture. In Japan, paying attention to detail is part of life since children are born.

Achieving consensus in groups begins with the family and preschool, and continues throughout life.

India probably cannot become more efficient in technological achievement than Japan. India should try to become something else.

Perhaps, India should try to discover her own destiny. You might try looking at your question from that angle.

You have to move India's vast population to a level nearly equal if not greater by percentage in education. Although there are probably more educated people (college degrees) in India in comparison to Japan - Japan is only 10% of India's population.
