Low carbs helps get rid of belly fat first.
Stop eating so much... exercise more. There's no such thing as spot reduction.. but for some reason your belly fat melts when doing South Beach Diet.

3,500 calories is equal to 1 lb. of body fat. Keep this in mind as you venture into slimming down in the new year. Eat a well balanced diet from all the food groups, drink alot of water and incorporate 20-30 minutes of some kind of exercise every day. You do not need to invest in anything except a good pair of walking shoes. Ease into this so you don't hurt yourself or get burnt out. This should be something that after a few weeks, your body and mind will look forward to doing, which is what you want. The other key is toning. Start by using light hand weights for toning arms. Incorporate hills in your walking to tone legs and gluts, and try abdominal crunches for your abs. Remeber the key is to START SLOW and every week add in something new; this way it becomes part of life.

Take up yoga
The chemical processes which comprise your metabolism are regulated by the endocrine system, especially the thyroid. Yoga has many postures which have a powerful twisting and compressing effect on the endocrine organs, strengthening and stimulating them and this can help to regulate and boost your metabolism. If you boost your metabolism with these tips, you'll be improving your general health as well as your capacity to burn calories. You'll not only find that you lose weight more quickly but also that you will have more energy, greater strength and you'll be able to get through everything you have to do in a day more easily.

You are correct. Excersise is the key, and must be done just about everyday. You also need to go on a diet, and eat much healthier. If you keep on doing this everyday, you will see results as you start to lose weight each day and your goal will come to you.

no such thing as removing fat from a particular spot tho it usually seems to be the face first and the waist and stomach last but its better to stick to a healthy but manageable diet rather than fad diets , and combine this with exercise , swimming walking jogging , and use your feet rather than transport it all helps. best of luck

First, cut fattening foods out of your diet. That is the key to being slim. To be toned, try doing 25 push ups, squats, lunges and crunches daily. When you walk up stairs, skip each step to tone your butt and leg muscles.

Your food and physical activity choices each day affect your health—how you feel today, tomorrow, and in the future.
These tips and ideas are a starting point. You will find a wealth of suggestions here that can help you get started toward a healthy diet. Choose a change that you can make today, and move toward a healthier you.
here are some of my tips of losing weight without any expensive equipments...
-for a change, try brown rice or whole-wheat pasta. Try brown rice stuffing in baked green peppers or tomatoes and whole-wheat macaroni in macaroni and cheese.
-try an unsweetened, whole grain ready-to-eat cereal as croutons in salad or in place of crackers with soup.
-try rolled oats or a crushed, unsweetened whole grain cereal as breading for baked chicken, fish, veal cutlets, or eggplant parmesan.
-freeze leftover cooked brown rice, bulgur, or barley. Heat and serve it later as a quick side dish.
-snack on ready-to-eat, whole grain cereals such as toasted oat cereal.
-popcorn, a whole grain, can be a healthy snack with little or no added salt and butter.
-buy fresh vegetables in season. They cost less and are likely to be at their peak flavor.
-stock up on frozen vegetables for quick and easy cooking in the microwave.
-buy vegetables that are easy to prepare. pick up pre-washed bags of salad greens and add baby carrots or grape tomatoes for a salad in minutes. buy packages of such as baby carrots or celery sticks for quick snacks.
-exercise
-make smart choices from every food group
-read the food label’s ingredient list. Look for terms that indicate added sugars (sucrose, high-fructose corn syrup, honey, and molasses) and oils (partially hydrogenated vegetable oils) that add extra calories. choose foods with fewer added sugars, fats, or oils.
-select vegetables with more potassium often, such as sweetpotatoes, white potatoes, white beans, tomato products (paste, sauce, and juice), beet greens, soybeans, lima beans, winter squash, spinach, lentils, kidney beans, and split peas.
-prepare more foods from fresh ingredients to lower sodium intake. most sodium in the food supply comes from packaged or processed foods.
-buy canned vegetables labeled “no salt added.” if you want to add a little salt it will likely be less than the amount in the regular canned product.
-try a main dish salad for lunch. go light on the salad dressing.
-include a green salad with your dinner every night.
