9/11 killed 3,000+/- American citizens in NYC/DC in one day......What exactly is your point? Is the success or failure of all US war efforts going to be measured by total body counts from now on, or just as seen fit by the DNC and/or other pacifists? Happy New Year & GOD BLESS THE USA & OUR TROOPS!!

WWI was started because of one murder.
I think the casualty count passed the archduke on the first day.

And what about the deaths on the USS Cole that basically went unanswered, and the deaths of our Marines in Lebanon that were never really avenged? The deaths and mutilations of the helicopter crew in Somalia? We are fighting for much more than the attack on the WTC.

I feel bad about any death, but those that just count the dead are those that would have lost every war in history. Just an idiotic talking point. Using that logic, we should have quit WW2 at the Battle of Guadalcanal since our casualties exceeded Pearl Harbor.

I think it's sad that this has happened, but in context, we'd see numbers like this in one day during World War II. This is a different kind of war. I think with the numbers this high now, it should serve as a reminder how awful 9/11 was. If we don't want to see another 9/11, we need to make sure nations realize that sponsoring terrorism will get you in the hangman's noose.

no one in their right mind likes to see a body count of innocent people everyday.

I would like to start seeing a body count of the insurgents

Its it utterly without significance, just as last nights rioting in Times Square over an arbitrarily selected passage of one second.

What does one have to do with the other?

I feel like that's a useless comparison concocted by liberals.

Want another? Let's see. Hmmm. How about this . . . Does everyone know that Bret Favre has passed for more yards than the number of soldiers who have died in Iraq?

Or . . . how does everyone feel that my shoe size is less than the number of soldiers who have died in Iraq?

Wow, I'd make a terrific liberal. ;)

I just wonder why Bush's daughters aren't serving in Iraq, that's how it makes me feel!
