I've always heard PPL SAY SOMETHING BAD WILL HAPPEN 12-21-2012. then yesterday i was watching History channel and found out the mayans predicted that. They also predicted the future in chunks of times, called Catans. We r supposed to be in Catan 4 and at the end, 12/21/2012, when the sun WILL be in the middle of milky way (it actually will) dooms day will arrive. Their calenders go on after Dooms Day, and i want to know when their calenders stop.
Could 12/21/12 be Judgement Day? I doubt it, God (Ennam Engel) wouldn't let anyone predict it.Plus all of their predictions have become right so far. The mayans predict we r entering a new age, and we r, r'nt we? If u think about it...
So, my questions are:
1.Do you believe something bad'll happen 12/21/12?
2. If so, what? Do u think Judgement Day?
3. When did the Mayan's calendars end? and
4. Do u believe in God (Ennam Engel)?

I have been looking forward to "doomsday" for at least 20 years, and figured the "end" would come around 2010 before I ever heard of the Mayan calender. As you say, we are obviously in a transformative time. You don't need the Mayans, or Ray Kurzweil or anyone to tell you so.
Still, I am interested in these ancient ideas about time and cycles. My understanding was that 2012 is actually the END of the Mayan calender. By contrast, the Indian system of Yugas has us in the last of 4 yugas...this one being the Kali Yuga. And that calender does start up again, with a new golden age after the end of the Kali Yuga. That doesn't end for 300 more years. The 2012 date has been syncretically called the "eschaton" which is a biblical term for the end of time.
To answer your questions directly:
1. Something bad is already happening, isn't it? Something "bad" has been happening all through history. In some ways, for many people people, it may get especially bad for the next few years. I think this will be the darkness before the dawn. It may include a giant economic melt down. But the 2012 date, give or take a few years, should correspond with a turning point, the "end" of historical time, and the beginning of something much better....a sort of cooperative economics and politics, rather than the competitive one that has characterized history.
2.Judgment is probably a personal thing. Imagine this...perhaps around 2012, we will have technology assisted intelligence upgrades...when people install these, they will see easy solutions to problems that seemed insoluble through their lives and history. They will also see the mistakes in the way they lived. Will they forgive themselves? Would you, if for instance, you realized you'd caused or supported wars that you later found hadn't been necessary? (not saying you personally have). On the other hand, the intelligence upgrades should also allow easy understanding of why the mistakes were made. God, being omniscient, would understand all these things.
3.2012
4. I am that I am was a way of saying that God is ineffable...it was sort of like Lao Tzu saying "the way that can be named is not the way." So while it is true you can call God anything you want, the important thing to remember is that a name is like a finger pointing at an object, where as God, being ubiquitous, cannot be pointed at.

Friend, I am not worry about 12/21/2012, I will be at the marriage supper in heaven. with My Lord. AS far as the Judgement day mention in Rev. Chapter 20, That will be the Judgement of the wicked, & that will not take place untill after the 1000 yrs. Millennium, But the Judgement of this earth is just in front of us. But before that can happen Jesus Christ will have opened the 7th seal & Christ will be off the mercy seat then, Once Christ comes off the Mercy seat, Time for the gentiles as far as salvation will be over. Christ will no longer be our mediator.

Lots of people predict who will win some sports event but no one knows until the game is over.
I trust the Bible and would encourage you to do the same. The next event to take place in the Bible is not dooms day. In fact I don't think the Bible ever presents a "dooms day." What is dooms day for some is everlasting life for others.

I believe that Jesus will return like it says in the Holy Bible. It also says in the bible that no one knows the day or the hour. Not even Jesus, only the Father knows.
