Sorry to show off!
What's a good bouquet for a girl who doesn't want to kill flowers? (sorry, but i hold solid views on those!)
I'd love a little plant we could put in our garden later!
...yes, I'm a hippie lol!

A plant is one option, silk flowers are another. There is something called Millenium soil that is like a soiless soil - the nice thing is that you can put it in a bag and plant plants almost ANYWHERE!! That means, you could doa living bouquet without a big nasty pot in the way.

Congratulations to you. Good luck. You can create a bouquet out of fake flowers..then the bouquet lives forever and can be turned in to a center piece for your dining room table. The fake flowers look just as real just last longer. I had a friend who spent over $900 on real roses and other flowers. I spent under $300 for all of mine and they were all fake. After the wedding I put the flowers from my bouquet into a vase the was just beautiful and used it as decoration. I always had something on display of my wedding day other than pictures. Hers died and she only has the pictures of those beautiful flowers.
You make the decision. Its all about you and him. Good luck and again CONGRATS!!!!!!!!

I'm with you. I don't see the point of killing a bunch of flowers just to use them as an accessory.
The kind of plant you want to use and plant afterwards depends on what the climate is where you live. You could inquire at your local florist about making a bouquet out of a blooming plant with maybe ivy trailing from it. White blooms with deep green foilage would look very pretty surrounded with ivy decorated with white, cream and\or shades of green possibly even gold.
Many blessings on your marriage. May your love for each other always shine brightly.

Why don't you get some fake flowers to make a bouquet. They won't kill real ones and they also look the same.

YOU CAN ASK FOR ALL THE FLOWERS TO BE WITH ROOTS. THEY PUT THEM IN A HOLDER THAT LOOKS LIKE A MICROPHONE AND IT'S FILLER WITH WET EARTH. IT'S A LITTLE HEAVIER, BUT AT LEAST THE FLOWERS STAY FRESH FOR A LOT LONGER AND U CAN DEFINITELY PLANT THEM IN YOUR GARDEN AFTER THE WEDDING.

silk flowers are the best way to go then. You can make them yourself or turn it into an evening with the girls. They even make oils that you can add to flowers to scent them so they seem real. I have even seen pictures of girls that made flowers out of colored paper. They cut them and fold them into shapes, origami i guess.

African violets are beautiful, but alittle fragile. You can replant Baby's Breath, Lilies, Tulips, Roses, many, many flowers and plants you could replant. Check your local nursery, and CONGRATS!!
