I am looking at the Britax Marathon. The 5 point harness goes up to 65 lbs. (Please don't confuse with the typical 5 point harness that goes up to 40 lbs). I am going to buy a new one, but I would love feedback. There are just not many to choose from.

The Britax Boulevard is rated a bit better than the Marathon for about the same price. No worries though, you can't go wrong with a Britax. They have always been rated very high. Check out the following site. You can read user reviews on car seats. http://www.epinions.com/Car_Seats--reviews--more_than_50_lbs/submitted_form_~ultrafinder/previous_search_string_~/previous_min_price_~/previous_max_price_~/keyword_search_~1/sort_~rating/pp_~1/sort_dir_~des?search_string=5+point

The King of all car seats! The Regent™ is the solution for parents to keep their child in a harnessed child restraint for as long a possible

This booster/carseat goes from 22 lbs to 80 lbs. I have a marathon for my daughter and I will upgrade to this one when she is ready for a booster. Britax is tested at 70 mph while american brand car seats/boosters are only tested at 35 mph. When I did research online for my first infant car seat then my infant toddler car seat..britax was always rated at the top. Good luck and great job looking out for your child.

I have the Alpha Elite Apex Booster Car Seat for my two year old son. The 5 point harness goes up to 65 pounds also. I love this car seat. The only problem that I have with it is the so called armrests. They don't move so sometimes it is kind of hard to get my son out of the car when he is asleep and the pads for the armrest come off very easily (my son enjoys taking them off and back on though). Below is a link for Babies R US with a picture and information about this car seat. You can also see the reviews left my other owners and view some of the other booster seats with 5 point harnesses with weight up to 65 pounds.

I got this in an email last month. It stresses the importance of a 5 point harness booster. And gives a recommendation of a Britax model.
