Look around on this site and especially the forum where art discussions are going on all the time. We artists need that connection to other artists that is so lacking when we work mostly in isolation all the time, don't you agree? Thank goodness for the internet!

Not one for artists yet that I've heard of, but the folks over there at Myspace have a petition profile in order to try and get them to have a special section for visual artists.

The most recent development is probably a little "low art", but I recently joined ComicSpace myself.

They do voter contests, but they also allow for profiles of artists to present their work. It's the closest I've seen to Myspace, and a bit
more art oriented than DeviantArt (or DeviantFandom, as I like to call it).
