It is a myth. Those who answer yes need to educate themselves.
Shaving does not make the hair shaft thicker, darker, or grow faster or slower. However, the short hair shaft may be more noticeable as it grows out because it has a blunt tip instead of the normal tapered tip. Therefore, it only appears to be fuller and thicker.

No, it's an illusion. When hair has been grown in for a while, the end become pointy, almost like they've been filed, and they grow at different rates. When they've just been cut or shaven, the ends are blunt and right next to each other, causing an illusion of thicker hair.

I heard that it appears to grow back thicker because the hair is cut at a new angle. if you think about it, naturally, hair is finer at the tips and thicker at the base. when you shave you are cutting it lower (where it's thicker) and it grows out. I don't know that's my theory on it.

Shaving with a razor don't have something to do with thinkness of the hair. usual shaving may lead on to a speedier improve cost of hair. For thick hairs u favor to have extra supplements

nope.. As young man gets older, he gets more and more facial hair and body hair.
When I met my husband he was 24 and was hairy but within a few years (by late 20's) he had actually grown in a lot more chest hair.. He never shaved it.
Gotta say same thing with my son, he just gets more and more. And same thing with women and body hair;-)

well not exactly......the hair seems to be thicker as a shaved hair has a blunt end compared to the narrower end of an unshaven end. and it does not become darker either, in case you're worried. the hair appears to be darker as it is darker nearer to the root. hope that puts you at ease(:

its a myth
it just grows back quicker because you're only cutting off the hair at skin level and not beneath
sometimes it looks thicker because another hair follicle will grow along side another one ..
