If one has a really bad headache accompanied by nose bleed I would say that was a very serious condition. My first thought would be a stroke, or an aneurysm. Both are life threatening. On the other hand, some people have severe migraines and never have nose bleeds. They do not normally go together.

My mother had this happen. I truly believe her blood pressure got so high that the nose bleed kept her from having a severe stroke.

She was living in the country, by herself, when this happened. She said she lost at least a pint of blood. She would often quit taking her blood pressure medicine because she said it made her feel different.

The body is an amazing machine. It has its own defense system.

it means that you were on the verge a having a stroke and to prevent this something in your body makes your noesbleed so that it can relieve some of the pressure in your head and this causes your nose to bleed. I am a LPN and I see it happen alot. You need to get to a doctor the next time this happens this is something serious that needs to be treated.

If your headache is due to hypertension, it's a good possibility that your nose bleeds are also the result of elevated blood pressure.

Best for you to check with an internist.

Most likely, high blood pressure gave them the headache and made their nose bleed.

NO, they are separate issues.
Nose bleeds are due to core body temperature being too hot and therefore the release of blood helps cool the core temperature.
If your body gets too hot, it can create headaches to get you to slow down and rest.

Migraines and bad dreams are common after a concussion. Talk to your dr about this. You may need some migraine meds.

I would be very worried about high blood pressure and the possibility of a stroke.
