Yes. You can have a destiny to achieve something great but you can reject it and do something else with your life. Many people have gifts they don't use and most of us can see it in them but they remain unaware.

A lot of people do not understand what Free Will is by some of the answers in YA. Yes you can believe in both. You have Free Will to accept Christ or reject Him, and you do have a destiny, of either Heaven of Hell by your choices. God could have created Robots to love Him, but that is not Free Will. Do you want your child to say I love you because you have programed him to do so, or do you want him to do it because he TRULY loves you with his heart, and does it freely of his own accord?

Yes, I believe I have the answer to this dilemma. Firstly, we believe in destiny, but our free will is merely an illusion from our perspective it seems we have the ability to make choice, but since we make a certain choice God already knew this. So it appeared to us that we had free will when in fact God had already known what decision we were going to make.

Peace With You

I wouldn't call predestination "destiny", as if God had already programmed some of his creation for destruction and would therefore be the author of sin. I don't believe that predestination can be reconciled with free will unless free will itself consists of only one choice, that of rejection of God. This would allow for a God capable of not only choosing his own, but choosing them before the foundations of the earth.

Yes, free will is when you have control over what you do, but not nessecarily anything else. Destiny is what happens in spite of the choices that you make.
