You are entitled to your own opinion about anything. That said, the majority of people who are alive today are neither old nor rich. As a consequence, most of them will be still around in 2050 and having few resources they'll quickly feel the dangers of global warming. So if everyone was equally represented by our politicians, government would implement harsh measures right now. Yet if you feel confident you and your children will get by no matter what and you've got enough to think about already... Well, that's ok I guess.

I agree that you will be dead by the time the environment is destroyed...because it doesnt take the complete destruction of the environment for you or anyone else for that matter to die...we are already dying...people are dying everyday due to mishaps in nature that happen because people in developed worlds cant care less for those who live in parts where nature dictates their lives...
and people in the city depend on those people to get food to their table....contrary to popular belief, food in the supermarket doesnt arrive by magic....it takes humans to toil under the sun and rain from the sky to make that happen...and global warming is reducing food supply making poverty and death worser than before...
everyone is stuck on earth and the only way out is to die....if you want to die an unnatural painful death facing the wrath of nature, then by all means go ahead...just like how you cant care less for global warming...no one cares how you die...but make sure that millions dont die with you....
and tree huggers hug trees because of uncaring humans who greedily use everything in excess...and not because they dont have anyone else to hug....
having grown up in an artificial society where money is of importance probably worsened the problem....but remember, in the end, you cant eat money....and you cant fly to mars no matter how much NASA spends on space exploration...
if you cant help stop or reduce the problem, dont drag people with you....you'll only create more of the tree huggers you are sick of.....
AND NO...i'm NOT a tree hugger....but i care about how human beings die beacuse of ignorance and apathetic behaviours so called "developed city dwellers" display with contempt....so called uneducated people have much more cultured mindsets...and treat everything and everyone with respect....
so there....that's my opinion....you asked for it didnt you?

I think your ignorant. Global warning is all ready affecting our enviroment . Excessive storms, strange weather patterns,a huge chunk of Canada's Glacier just broke away. The Polar bears are slated for the Endangered list because of melting ice that leads them to drown. I guess you don't like Polar Bears either. I seriosly hope you don't have children because they are lifes renewal of itself. Without adressingthe current problem there will be no life renewed for future generations. Besides you should not have children because you seem uncaring,

Any sensible person cares about something that is already affecting them and is likely to increasely affect their quality of life. You must be quite elderly if you are not worried and not have any concern for future generations. We will all need to help one another through this crisis and maybe no one will want to help you in the future although lets hope most of us are not that selfish!

mmm. well if global warming exists (which all scientific evidence hasnt proved yet) then we should want a better world for our children to grow up in, and after 4.6 billion years of global existence, it shouldnt be destroyed by a load of money hungry chinese, americans and western europeans. but hopefully it will not destroy the environments, people who live on marshes will probably have to move to higher fround, and africa will be alot dryer, with droughts, but apart from that the earth shouldnt be destroyed

Well, then you should not have any kids at all, period, since you are killing them anyway by destroying the environment they are going to live in, which is what environment preservation is all about. Keeping it safe for future generations, but if you want to be selfish. Be my guest. You will not be the first one.
