If it sounds ridiculous, it probably is. What sect is your imam?

The general rule is that your prayer should not be directed toward other than Allah. So don't face a statue or a picture of a person or animal. If you are in an area where it is possible for someone to walk in front of you, place something between you and them. If they know better, it is rude for them to walk in front of you. If they don't know any better, then it's just an accident and there's nothing you can do about it.

And please don't take anyone's word at face value. Again, if it sounds illogical, it probably is and best to just ignore it or find the correct information.

If it is not your fault it is not annulled, you can continue. You have the right to put your hand out to stop them passing in front of you. Are you working in a zoo where donkeys are walking around? Praying usually takes place in your home or at a mosque not to many dogs, donkeys or women walking in front of you in those situations. You have to position yourself before you begin in a secure place even in the desert just draw a line in the sand. No what he said is not necessarily true. If a man or woman attempts to walk in front of you, you have the right to put your arm out to stop them, animals say a cat you can just move them with your hand. And i dont know where you would be praying for a donkey or dog to walk in front of you.

Is your Imam a Christian ??

Everybody, be it male or female is prohibited to cross from the front if some body is offering prayer. Even if unknowingly somebody crosses, the prayers dont get nullified.

No it is absolutely untrue.

Wish you a very Happy new year, ALI even if you are not a Muslim.

Yes, for prayers are done for God. When we stand in prayer, we are actually standing before God. Thus if a cat for example suddenly walks in front of us, then it would be as if we stand praying before the cat, and in a way, it is as if we worship the cat. Now, we wouldn't want that to ever happen do we?

Nevertheless, since in this age we have enclosed space to perform our prayers, I think it is unusual for such incident to take place.

God knows best.

Take care my brother.

Peace and Love

well yes, but nowadays we can pray inside, so we do not have to worry about this. This was more of when people were praying outside.

I remember reading that someone who crosses the path of someone praying will recieve a bad deed or something of the sort. God forgive me if I speak not the truth.

Peace Be With You

Wow!..... You believe that, huh?.......

Never happened to me... My cat crosses my path daily, and I love him because he is a creature made by the hands of God...... and he is beautiful......

So, your imam told you that an animal is more powerful than God when working your favor through prayer?......

interesting!!!! Where is his faith?!!!!

Sounds like your imam needs an imam to teach him better.......

Oh wait!..... that's called the blind leading the blind......

boo!

I think you should spend more time considering WHY your imam is equating women with dogs and donkeys when they are really your equals.

No, actually what I know it, if that happens its usually by mistake, so it won't be annulled.
But if you pray while someone is just standing there it is wrong, you have to put something affront you to block that...
