My pet died about 5 years ago and I miss him dearly. How could I communicate with him? How do I know if he's around? Do animals reincarnate? Do they know that their owner loves them? Do they visit? How much do they know on the other side?

Sorry to hear how much you miss your pet, I know what it is like, you get to love your animals so much.
As a medium I have given messages from people's pets. I feel the animals thoughts and feelings as much as a human being. I remember one message I gave from a person's cat, and she was telling me to tell her owner that she doesn't blame her for having to make the decision to have her put to sleep, and it was the right thing to do, the love coming from the cat was as strong as any human coming through.
If you are wishing to communicate with your pet, just send out your loving thoughts, if and when the time is right, he or she will make themselves known to you. How they will do that will be very personal to you, so I can't say how this may happen.
I do believe that animals reincarnate, they are progressing on their spiritual pathway as much as us, and just like humans, I also believe that they will wait until their loved ones are in the world of spirit too.

animals do visit
but they do not communicate as such personally
what i have found to happen is
when someone goes to a medium and communicates with spirit... they would bring through the pet also and the spirit of your loved one would say that the animal is still loved and cared for even now in spirit
just because your animal has passed ... does not mean the love between you has ended xxx

No you can't. But fortunately for you, I have the only real talking animal in existence, a snake, which I found in somebody's garden.
Normally I'd sell it for 100 latinum, but for you, I'll let you have it for 50 quatloos.

your pet is in heaven I was on a national tv show with a physic and he picked several people from the audience and he asked if anyone knew of a hank which was my dad's nickname and he told me somethings that no one could have known about my dad and at the end he said that my dad had a poodle dog with the name that started with a B The physic thought at first Barbara then mhe said ba bambi and then he said the dog's name which was Babette I went alone and told no one that I was going so no one tipped him off

They know a LOT more than we do and put it this way.. if you passed away first, your animal wouldn't be thinking of a way to communicate with you. Very clever those animals

Your friend is safe and happy. To communicate just close your eyes in a quiet place and think of him. You will feel his presence. If you speak a brief message, he will hear your voice just as he did here in this dimension. He is waiting for you and you will see him again. Be at peace.
