Widows corrupt How can I reinstall windows98?

HOw can i get dos command prompt in a corrupt windows 98.While starting it stops with a messege press control+alt+del to restart.and it repeats again when pressing contol+alt+del..Also says VMM32.VXD reguired to run windows.I know how to reinstall windows if i get c prompt .Please help

u need to reboot ur system usin ur windows 98 cd thats the only way coz it seems that u fuked ur computer with spywares and adwares

When your PC boots, enter the BIOS setup by holding down the specified key (usually DEL, but a small note appears near the bottom of the boot screen indiciating which key you have to press). Once in, change the boot order. Nvaigate to the place where the boot order is displayed. (Look for something like "First Boot Device" in each submenu, usually this option is present under "Advanced BIOS Features" or something similar)

Select CD-ROM as the first boot device. Pop the Win98 CD and restart. Windows will boot from the CD and you can run Windows setup directly from DOS.

Just start Ur system and keep on pressing the f5 Key. The option menu will pop up:
Windows 98 start menu
(a) Start Windows Normally
(b) Start Windows in Safe Mode
(c) Start in Command Prompt.

Just chose the option required.

first thing to do is to download a bootdisk software in the internet then put it in a floppy disk then reformat your harddrive when you see the A:\ type format c: then Y to proceed with the format.ok
