A "new study" says drinking lots of water is not necessary.Fluids can be taken in any form.(so long as its not soda pop etc.) I myself like to do it with my decaffienated coffee.I rarely eat out because it is so much better to cook a meal you can control. It makes sense to eat a variety of fruits and vegetables as different quantities of vitamins and minerals can be found in a wider variety.Look at any living mammal they have to eat a large variety of different things to meet their nutritional needs, Eating junk food every so often is ok but it does not satisfy the bodys' nutritional demands and ultimately you will get sick from it. As for exercise it helps to build up energy in our cells as well as increased muscle tone which in turn helps to burn off extra calories more effeciently. Read Dr. Perricones books about these things. He is a real Doctor with sound advice on taking care of your body.

after trying endless ways to lose weight and become slimmer and fitter, i found out that eating healthily (thats: every possible food type at some point during the week, a few sweets without going OTT, carbs, proteins, even some fatty foods, and especially lots of fruit, veggeis, juices, milk and dairy........AND LOTS OF WATER!!) is the "diet" for me.

i have erased fizzy drinks, chips, fried and "too oily, too salty foods" from my diet...and i actually feel FREER!!! i eat everything - other than the junk food i just listed - and so my body is more energetic and alive. i eat whatever i crave (even chocolate and stuff!!!) at the time i crave it, of course so that i can control the amount and not over do it. that way i end up feeling satisfied, not guilty!!!

since i eat healthy and also exercise three to four times a week, my metabolism had speeded up and i can be "naughty" and eat from the "restricted" list (above) every once in a while. i can go to parties and lose control and not care!!! coz i know i dont do it every day. that's the key!! just dont do it every day and ur ok...

"everything is good in moderation." its true! now i am much happier than i used to be back when i ate like a three year-old and hated excersize. i am more confident, and i dont have to kill myself with painful diets and express fat-burning sessions at the gym JUST BEFORE BIKINI SEASON...^_^

anyway... i know all this sounds hard to do, and u prolly dont believe me anyway... but i promise that if u manage to get thru the first four weeks then it kinda grows on u.... u DO get used to eating ONLY whats necessary and not HAVING to nibble on chips or nachos and dip during a movie, etc etc... u will feel so good about how u can control urself that u will eventually find urselrf doing it JUST so that u can feel good about having done it! its that simple!!!

that way u r not only slimmer, fitter and more attractive, but u r more confident, more energetic, u have more fun that u ever woulda thought u'd want b4 and u give off an aura that every one wants to be around.... u become an optimistic healthy person who will live much longer and will enjoy it!

so the secret isnt that u should just eat healthy to be attractive. its eat healthy so u will FEEL happy and be able to give out that image that will MAKE u attractive, since u will feel better about urself. when ur healthy u have a reason to be optimistic about life, when ur in bad health u have no reason to feel that way, so ur not exactly the life of the party. its logical, i s'pose.... think about it. i'm sure u'll agree.

in the end, its all about ying and yang (opposites and balance) eat junk food and healthy food alike, but dont let the balance tip towards only one side, or something will go wrong and u will not be happy.

(just something to make it sound more relevant for a chinese composition ... LOL)

best of luck!!

lemme know how it went.

;-)

go to the site below you will get lots of tips and info there.
Here are a few of the surprising statistics about our weight:

- A whopping 64 percent of U.S. adults are either overweight or
obese. That's up approximately 8 percent from overweight
estimates obtained in a 1988 report.

- The percent of children who are overweight is also continuing
to increase. Among children and teens ages 6-19, 15 percent or
almost 9 million are overweight. That's triple what the rate was
in 1980!

- Nearly one-third of all adults are now classified as obese. At
present, 31 percent of adults 20 years of age and over or nearly
59 million people have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater,
compared with 23 percent in 1994.

(The BMI is a number that shows body weight adjusted for height.
For adults, a BMI of 18.5 - 24.9 is considered normal. A BMI of
25.0 - 29.9 is overweight and 30.0 or above, is considered
obese.)

Modern life both at home and at work has come to revolve around
moving from one "seated" position to another: whether it's
television, computers, remote controls, or automobiles, we seem
to be broadening the scope of our inactive endeavors.

At times, life seems to have gotten almost too easy! For
entertainment, we can now just sit-down, dial-up our favorite TV
program or DVD movie and enjoy hours of uninterrupted
entertainment...

And all those simple calorie burning activities that were once a
normal part of our daily routine not so long ago? Long gone! You
know the ones I'm talking about...activities like climbing stairs
instead of using escalators and elevators. Or, pushing a lawn
mower instead of riding around on a garden tractor. And what
about that daily walk to school? Now, our kids complain when the
school bus happens to be a few minutes late getting to the bus
stop! Good luck and a Happy New Year

Your question can be answered by the book "Longevity Through The Organic Lifestyle. To keep the body healthy, one is encouraged to eat organic food and live an organic lifestyle and its guiding principles are as follows:

1. Live in harmony with nature
2. Drink plenty of water
3. Have plenty of sunshine and fresh air
4. Exercise for good health and for longevity
5. Practise natural desirable behaviour and emotions to avoid stress
6. Rest as needed, and have a good night's sleep
7. Avoid alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse of any kind

Of course also eat uncontaminated organic foods.

Some facts from the book:

Water - an universal solvent...disolves nutrients such as amino acids, glucose and other nutrients used by the cells....
Exercise - stimulate blood circulation, burn excess calories, alleviate mental stress
Vegetables & fruits - soluble and insoluble fibers...

simple...our body, organs and compositions.were meant.to be well treated, with the "right kind of foods" according to yr needs and body composition, sleep well.,and enough! ,exercise, and rest well too,all in balance.cos.like a machine,if overused, underused, abused,it will BREAK DOWN.or simply not function well.So take good care of it,,with vegetables.cereals.enough fluids.like good plain water and juices..don't over or under eat,,or over and under exercise..all moderation is the key..that goes for our mind and soul as well.as we are not just A BODY,but,..a 3-part,dimensional being..do all this.and we may save money,on docs and medical bills, unless,we suffer from a genetic disorders, which sometimes is beyound our control...but eat, drink, exercise, and rest, all in moderations is the key..
